China, as state, exist on the same theritory, more
than 6.000 years. China did not enter in any
war out of its theritory - it is not agresor.
Ruling such large country with so many (different)
people, was based on sistem which no one other had.
Beside imperors, other statemen had been selected
and positioned to posts, by system approved.China,
onthe other side had been attacked (and partly occupied) number of times in history-by Mongolians,
Koreans, Japaneese and British (do not forget
shamefull "Opium war"). Could you tell (first
yourself) how much cost (efforts and money) to
build earth's most significant man-made object,
for defence, not conquere.
USA in Noth America, simply could not be invaded
and occupied (as you very well know).
On the other side, could you just list of wars
USA made -initiated (commiting even agression)and
entered after 1945?
Great Wall is part of past defense system. China,
in XXI century (& 65 years of UN) is still under
threat and need to have appropriate defence system.
Please don't tell that Iceland, East Timor or
Seishels, threat China and urge her to build
defence.
Talking brutality of "Mao's" sistem, you forgeting
brutality of 5 years civil war, glorified for
defense of just, federal values of USA.
Taiwan never was in real danager from China attack.
You are not talking but, most probably, you know
very well about line USA-Taiwan-China background.
Al that is more or less-past.
Today, economical ties between China and USA are
very, very deep (that's China is not labeled
"comunist's" in media). Even China is rapidly
progressing, there is no such threat - USA economy
is heavy stone tied, on her neck (to slow down).
What USA could not stop (at least not easy) is
rise of internal market, acquisition of world's
raw material sources (with better way than previous
colonizers) and understanding power of research for
developments.
